I was raised as a missionary kid in the Belgian Congo. My wife, Marian, and I have served as cross-cultural missionaries with The Christian and Missionary Alliance since 1979 in Congo (former Zaire), Rep of Guinea, and France. Our ministries have focused on leadership training through the traditional resident school model and informal mentor-based learning. My undergraduate training is in Christian Education, M.Div. in Pastoral Care (Bethel Theological Seminary), and D.Miss. in Intercultural Studies (Trinity International University). I completed Christian coach’s training in 2007 with the Christian Coaches Institute and trained in Strength Development Inventory in 2013. I currently serve as Director of Global Advance & Consulting ministries at the Christian and Missionary Alliance regional office for New Jersey and New York City—Metropolitan District of the C&MA.
